The burnt wood object is handcrafted by European artisans using fir wood through a traditional Japanese burning technique called “Shou Sugi Ban”. The burning process gives the vessel an old world, natural patina. Designed to hold a simple branch or twig, the piece is just as strong solo as an object that’s sure to attract conversation. Chipping of the wood is expected due to the nature of the technique. Each piece is one-of-a-kind.
